Rotation measuring principle

The motor driven rotating measurement paddle is hampered in its rotation when it comes into contact with solid material. The reaction’s moment is converted into an electrical signal and the motor switches off. Once the paddle is no longer covered with solid material, a spring moves the motor back into the rest position and the motor starts again.
